More about the history of Evante Sportscars Factory specification details Evante sportscars in competition The aims of How to contact us

The last owners of the company were Fleur De Lys Automobiles of Newark, Notts, and they refined and produced about 15 Mk2 cars, with Zetec 1800 injected engines, Ford gearbox and Final drive (later type). We have almost no knowledge of the whereabouts of these cars at all.

The VEGANTUNE name has continued, owned by a company in Borehamwood and now known as “Vegantune Motorsport”.  They were previously in Finchley and initially were the Official London Service Agents for Evante, and have carried out work on most of the cars at some time or other, including developing a hardtop with the assistance of contemporary owner.  They also acquired the rights to build the VTA engine when Fleur De Lys acquired the rights to the Mk2, and have developed a very usable 170Bhp version, which is ideal for many kit cars.  They also supported the first season of an Evante racing in 1997.
